The Artbook 2007

It is now almost 20 years since the first edition of The Art Book was published and we are delighted and proud that The Art Book is still the definitive printed showcase for the very best in represented UK illustrators.

As you look through The Art Book we know you will be impressed by the creative range and versatility of all of the artists and the professionalism of their agents. If you want to see more of any individuals work then a quick click on the links contained within the pages will take you to their agents website where there are countless images for you to be further inspired by.

Once again we held a competition amongst our contributors to find a cover design and I believe that the comments made by Dave Woods, Creative Director of Claydon Heeley best sums why Simon Stephenson of NBI Illustration is this years worthy winner: - " Face stood out from the rest of the crowd of entries because an "idea" shone out so strongly through it. Simple, beautifully executed and relevant. And the strong, punchy graphic nature of the solution allows it to exist just as effectively as a scaled-down, reversed-out version on the spine, as it does in its full glory on the cover. Indeed, it would make a lovely 16-sheet, too. And that little, yellow pencil in the mouth? Hmm"

There is a new and exciting addition to The Art Book, a section that is entirely devoted to "New and Emerging Talent". The artists showcased in this section are a testimony to the sheer quality and innovation of UK illustration and I am delighted to introduce them to you.
