About Redseal

Redseal comprises a diverse array of creative professionals working from large studios in Swansea, South Wales. They form a base of designers, illustrators and artists working together on projects ranging from advertising and editorial illustration to web based solutions.

Living and working on the Gower Peninsula was a lifestyle choice made early in their careers, now spanning fifteen years. Taking inspiration from the mountains, beaches and cities of Wales, their work has a down-to-earth quality, combined with typical Welsh enthusiasm and exuberance.

"Attention to detail is everything. We always give that little bit extra and it gets us noticed. Being a team rather than an individual lets us bounce ideas around. Everyone gets involved in every job as we all have our specialism’s. We have a lot of fun and we think it shows in our work".

The team are all traditionally trained illustrators who have embraced digital tools. Projects always start on a layout pad and typically contain a mixture of hand rendered, photographic and digital media: "Paint brushes and pencils sit alongside G4's in the studio. We use whatever we can get our hands on to create our art. We have a huge library of 'stuff' collected over the years... Living on the coast, beachcombing is a handy way of adding to this library. If we need a little time to think about a job, a walk along the beach is perfect, away from the phones and emails".

Our clients include: 20th Century Fox, The Grammy Awards, Orange, SEAT, Virgin Trains, Clarks Shoes, NTL, Ford, Simply Music and just about every magazine you have ever picked up.

Received a American Graphic Design Award 2008 from Graphic Design USA for a project for Simply Music.
